• Scyttel Cottage

This cottage was once the Coach House to Burrator House when the first White Rajah lived in Sheepstor.  It has so much to ensure that a good holiday is had by all, whatever the season.   Its situation alone, within the secluded wooded valley overlooking a moorland stream cannot help but lead to peace and tranquility.  It stands in 27 acres of private ground (some of which is open for use), through which the Sheepstor Brook rushes before falling 80 feet to the River Meavy below.

The cottage itself is laid out on three levels.  The lower floor opens out onto its own private garden where many happy meal times have been spent either sitting around the garden table or simply barbecuing.  It retains its original beams and stone walling and slate floor.  The beamed dining room also looks out onto the fenced garden (giving some protection to inquisitive toddlers!).

Scyttel sleeps 8 adults in 4 bedrooms - 2 double and 2 twin rooms.  There is a bathroom with bath, wc & toilet, a shower room with wc, and a separate wc.
